The Little Book Chapter 2 Noe Simple Task 2018 opens the second chapter of a great edition. This blend is composed of 40-year-old Canadian whiskeys, a 13-year-old Canadian Rye and Kentucky Straight Rye whiskeys. They have a maturation period of 8 years behind them. The young and mature spirits complement each other perfectly. This creates an aromatic balance that promises memorable taste experiences.
The color mélange of gold, ruby red, and copper is as nuanced as the sensory of this fabulous whiskey. It captivates with distinctive aromas of wax, wood, nutmeg and cinnamon. Cinnamon sticks, honey and dried fruit gain strength on tasting. On the finish, accents of dried fruit, cinnamon, rye, honey and peppermint slowly fade. This blend was bottled at 59.4% by volume. It should be finished with a few drops of water.

For this release, Noe blended 8 year old Kentucky straight rye, 13 year old Canadian rye, and 40 year old 100% Canadian corn whisky. Uncut and unfiltered, it pours rich, floral, and fruit forward, with flavors of marmalade, grilled pineapple, guava, and gummy bears. The bright, fruity sweetness is balanced with ruby-red grapefruit and the elder whisky’s rich leather, drying oak, allspice, and dark cocoa. A fascinating and flavorful ride.
